About TenneT:

Europe's energy transition is among the greatest challenges of our time. Its goal: To make Europe the first climate-neutral continent by 2050 at the latest. The Netherlands and Germany have therefore set themselves ambitious goals to expand offshore wind energy: as early as 2030, Germany and the Netherlands want to reach a capacity of 30 and 22.2 Gigawatts, respectively. Energy from offshore wind farms in the European powerhouse North Sea will play in this a crucial role. TenneT guarantees that this energy will reach the mainland - and in the most environmentally friendly way possible. That is why we have developed the 2GW program with a unique transnational approach. And thus increase the pace and efficiency of the energy transition.

Doelstelling

Unit Business Technology (BTO):

BTO will drive security of supply, energy transition, organizational and financial health through digital, data and analytics. BTO will secure solid foundations through seamless end-user services (UX), industry-leading cybersecurity setup and resilient data centers and cloud infrastructure. BTO will have consistent business/BTO alignment, strategic partnerships with vendors and clear standards on architecture, vendor & portfolio management and security. BTO will unlock value of data and digital by building all the necessary enablers (incl. data platform, data governance processes, capabilities) and embedding innovation initiatives into business roadmaps.

Werkzaamheden

• Architect scalable, high-performing, and cost-effective IT solution chains, new ones and optimizing existing ones, to meet evolving business needs
• Collaborate closely with business teams, Enterprise Architecture, and multiple technology delivery and operational teams
• Drive innovation to accelerate grid development, maximize efficiency, and enhance customer experience
• Ensure modular, maintainable and cost efficient IT landscapes that align with long-term business goals, including shape and refine the existing application landscape, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards
• Engage with platform teams, centre’s of excellence, and key functional departments like Operations, Data & Digital, HR, Procurement, and Business Guidance
• Foster a culture of End-to-End thinking, open dialogue, and continuous learning within teams
• Support and embody TenneT’s core values—Ownership, Courage, and Connection
• Combine infrastructure and applications towards a solution that suit the needs
• Design and defend a solution architecture
• Apart from the solution also emphasize organisation aspects and necessities surrounding the solution in order to be successful

Team Informatie

Important:

• For this role the hiring manager will hold one round of interviews; on location in Arnhem in the morning of Friday 6 March
• This is a temporary role to replace a TenneT employee on sick leave

Conditions:

• At entry, TenneT performs a Pre-Employment Screening
• Duty station for this position is Arnhem (minimum 2 days a week on location). If necessary, the candidate may be asked to be present more often in Arnhem
• TenneT prefers a candidate who is available 40 hours per week. Availability of 36 hours per week is the minimum

Additional information:

• Suppliers must be aware of the laws and regulations regarding employment conditions and Tennet’s Collective Labour Agreement. This assignment is placed in scale 9
• We would like to receive the personal motivation of the candidate and CV in Dutch or English

Screening:

• Pre-employment screening: If the candidate is selected to start, a pre-employment screening will be executed. We will send you the required documents to be filled in and returned as soon as possible. Your candidate is only allowed to start after the pre-employment screening has been completed successfully. The VOG Application is part of the screening. The VOG must be received before the candidate could start
• All submitted candidates must be in possession of a valid Passport or ID card, which must be taken along to the interview and at the start of the assignment
